Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, munchkins!

Fat Charlie Pumpkin (Named after Fat Charlie Nancy in Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman (READ IT, FOOLS)), wishes you a very frightful Halloween.

He was made by Noble and Wes and is a very happy pumpkin sitting on his pumpkin dish with his little pumpkin top roasting away from the candle inside his little pumpkin head.

Tonight I shall be spending Halloween watching black and white movies with my sister and eating lollies. ....And also working on my final Network Design assessment. The subject of death is much evil, and I shall be glad to see the end of it come Monday afternoon.

Hello, Procrastination.

I swallowed my pride and I choked on my faith.

I've given my heart and my soul.

I've broken my fingers and lied through my teeth, the pillar of damage control.

I've been to the edge and I've thrown the bouquet of flowers left over the grave.

I sat in the waiting room wasting my time, waiting for judgement day.

Hello, Procrastination.

Not long until Green Day. Excited little monkey I am.

Not long until the holidays. I have lots of stuff planned. Lots of stuff to do. It's going to be fun.

Remind me to buy cellophane.

Sniffle Snuffle

I think I have hayfever. Sniffle snuffle goes my nose. It's quite annoying to have one airway passage blocked. But I suppose having a blocked nose is better than having a blocked throat. Think about it.

I've got me some rad PHP and 3DS Max tutorials / exercises. So my skills are going to get a good working out.

I've also got some Flash tutorials. I know Flash fairly well, but my Flash skills are all self taught by experimentation, and are based purely on Flash MX v6.0. These tutorials I got are based off Flash CS3, which is what, version 10? Hahaha. And I use CS4 (v11) at work. So there you go. My Flash skills are old and need improvement.

It's a pity I won't be able to fully immerse myself in these tutorials until after November 7th. November 7, lunchtime = time I finish my last exam for this year = start of Shibble's 3 month holiday. WIN.

I took this photo last week. It's Wes and Vespa. And I like it. We put a yellow glasses lens in front of the camera lens to see what would happen. And this is what happens - it gets a nice yellow 70's-esque glow. Plus the sun is shining from behind which helped.

I have good camera skills.

So if you're crazy, I don't care - you amaze me.

While getting my hair cut yesterday, I pondered what it would be like if we were able to feel our hair getting cut, and how much pain we'd be in because of it. I wonder if it would mean that nobody would ever got their hair cut and we'd all be walking around with awfully long hair just begging to be chopped. Or if we'd suffer through the pain, much like people do while getting tattoos.

My favourite love song of the moment is (yet again) Whistle for the Choir by the Fratellis.

The Fratellis are my favourite band besides Green Day, and I hadn't listened to them in a while. So today, feeling a sense of loss, I opened up Media Player and listened up to their first album. It made me remember why I fell in love with them in the first place. And why I fell in love with Whistle for the Choir.

"Is it out of line if I were simply bold and said 'Would you be mine?'"

"So if you're crazy, I don't care - you amaze me."

Another one of my favourite love songs by them would have to be their acoustic number called Too Much Talk in Tokyo.

"I said 'I love you.' She said, 'Behave.' What a thing to say."

Gah. Cute.

Staying on that topic though, of cute love songs, there's also Drag by Placebo (Yeah, I know they're angst ridden. Shoosh.).

"You're the monkey I got on my back that tells me to shine. You're always ahead of the pack, while I drag behind."

"I just gotta get off my chest that I think you're divine. You're always ahead of the rest, while I drag behind."

Cute cute cute. ..I think I have a soft centre. ...I don't like that. Actually a soft centre is most likely correct, considering my centre is filled with vital organs which I'm sure are pretty squishy.

Spleen?
